Review the admissions criteria

Before applying, make sure you can meet all the admissions criteria:

If you are in your final year of undergraduate education, you can also apply and receive a conditional offer for any of our programmes and institutions. More information on programme-specific requirements section below.

Previous studies: a completed Bachelor’s degree

You must have completed a Bachelor’s degree worth a minimum of 180 ECTS credits OR an equivalent academic qualification from an internationally recognised university. Higher National Diploma is not sufficient qualification for admission to our programmes.

  • The content of your Bachelor’s degree is more important than the name of your degree, and should be directly relevant to the Master’s programme(s) you are applying for. Please check the specific requirements given for each programme below.
  • If you do not have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, but you have studied longer technical programmes and have completed courses with an equivalent of 180 ECTS credits, you may submit an application to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • In order to present your ECTS (credits) score record, please make sure to order it in advance.

Conditional Acceptance

  • If you are in your final year of undergraduate education, and expect to qualify before the programme’s start-date, you may apply to an EIT InnoEnergy Master’s programme. If accepted, you will receive a conditional offer, pending confirmation of successful completion of your Bachelor’s degree.

Programme-specific requirements

In addition to the general eligibility criteria given above, each programme has specific requirements. Click on “Read more” to check the requirements of your programme and institutions of interest.

English proficiency

All our degree programmes are entirely taught in English. Students are expected to have a high level of fluency in the language.

Our programmes have specific English proficiency requirements due to their dual-degree nature. Only tests, certifications and waivers mentioned below are applicable.

Choose a topic from the list below, check which situation applies to you and make sure to submit a complete application including proof of English-proficiency (when necessary).

IELTS Academic test
University of Cambridge certificate
TOEFL Internet-based test, IBT
Regular deadline for test submission
Extended deadline for test submission
High School/Bachelor's/Master's from EU/EEA or Switzerland
Bachelor's/Master's from UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand
Bachelor's/Master's from Nigeria or Ghana
Bachelor's/Master's from Lebanon

Prepare your application

You will need to upload the following documents with your application:

  • A copy of your Bachelor’s degree certificate
  • A copy of your transcript of records
  • Proof of English proficiency (if needed)
  • Your CV or resume
  • A copy of your passport
  • Where required, a motivation letter explaining why you wish to apply to the programme

Recommendation letters are not necessary and they do not increase your chances of admission.

What happens if my application is rejected?

There are multiple reasons why your application may have been rejected. Perhaps you did not meet the general eligiblity criteria such as providing a proof of English proficiency – if applicable – or your profile is best suited for another of our programmes.

No worries. You may still apply again! But first, we recommend booking a personal consultation session with our Study Advisors to review your case individually. Book a 1-1 meeting here.

Appeals procedure

If you do not agree with the decision of your application, you can also contact the EIT InnoEnergy Admissions Office at admissionsoffice@innoenergy.com to discuss your case with them.

If the conclusion is not satisfactory, you may formally appeal the decision within one month after having received the rejection letter. Only decisions about general and specific entry requirements may be formally appealed. Scholarship decisions, incomplete or late applications, degree equivalencies or position in the admission ranking of a programme do not constitute grounds for a formal appeal. Please fill out this form, sign it and send it by post to the Admissions Office.
