What is EIT InnoEnergy?

EIT InnoEnergy is the innovation engine for sustainable energy across Europe.

EIT InnoEnergy was established as a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) in 2010, with the goal of creating a more sustainable energy sector for Europe and beyond. 

 

With a network of more than 500 partners across Europe, EIT InnoEnergy Master’s School is a key part of our strategy and helps us build an informed, engaged and ambitious workforce to achieve a sustainable European energy industry.

How is EIT InnoEnergy funded?

EIT InnoEnergy is partly funded by the EU through the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), and from the contributions of our shareholders. As a commercial company, it is also financed by returns from the innovative products it sells, and the products and companies it invests in.

 

The overall costs that EIT InnoEnergy covers for individual student per programme is significantly higher than the annual 18,000 EUR participation fee.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is a body of the European Union, which was established in March 2008.

 

Its mission is to increase European sustainable growth and competitiveness by developing a new generation of innovators and entrepreneurs to reinforce the EU’s capacity for innovation.

What is the EIT label?

The EIT label means that the programme meets the high standards set by the EIT for education, entrepreneurship and innovation. All of the EIT InnoEnergy Master's programmes carry the EIT label. You can find more information about the EIT Label here

Personal data from accepted students is shared with ISE Foundation and our partner universities to complete your enrolment.

The Institute of Sustainable Energy Foundation (iSE Foundation) ia legal entity that was founded by EIT InnoEnergy to facilitate the financial transactions between EIT InnoEnergy, EIT, participating universities and master students' scholarships and fees.

 

When you are admitted to an EIT InnoEnergy MSc programme, you will be contacted by the iSE Foundation with regards to your participation fee payments or scholarship, and you will need to sign a student agreement with the iSE Foundation.
