InnoEnergy expands into Finland via agreement with Aalto University

InnoEnergy announces a new presence in Finland via an agreement with Aalto University, the multidisciplinary community where science and art meet technology and business.

Expanding business in Finland

The agreement will see InnoEnergy expand its work in Finland and become one of the country’s preeminent drivers of sustainable energy innovation – helping cleantech businesses to develop and commercialise new innovative products and solutions. It will include the secondment of one Aalto University employee to InnoEnergy in Helsinki, working to connect the organisation to new and disruptive technologies from the university’s research network and innovative start-ups.

The partnership

Aalto University already cooperates with InnoEnergy to deliver MSc SELECT, one of InnoEnergy’s Master’s School programmes. Under the terms of this latest agreement it will also become a Gold Member of the organisation’s new membership scheme. This will entitle the university to a whole range of InnoEnergy services, including access to the InnoEnergy’s network of more than 380 partners.

Tuija Pulkkinen, Vice President of Aalto University, said:

“In the Aalto community, new information and innovations are emerging continually. Cooperation with InnoEnergy makes accessible to us a broad network and important partners for helping to carry forward ideas related to energy and environment from concept into practice.”

Kenneth Johansson, CEO at InnoEnergy Scandinavia, said:

“This agreement marks an important milestone in our development as we broaden our reach into new markets and deepen our ties with the most innovative organisations wherever we operate. Aalto University has a fantastic reputation for engineering solutions to humanity’s problems and will make the perfect partner as we work to unlock more of Finland’s tremendous potential.”
