InnoEnergy and APREN discuss “The Future of Wind Energy” on 5 July

InnoEnergy and APREN, the Portuguese Renewable Energy Association, will host the event “The Future of Wind Energy”, under the theme “Wind energy cost reduction in order to improve its grid penetration”, on 5 July, in Lisbon. 

The event

In this event, the associates of APREN will get the chance to discover InnoEnergy’s activities in the field of wind energy and the roadmap the company is designing in this area, as well as to get to know the portfolio of start-ups working in this field in both Portugal and Spain, such as Pro-Drone, VertEquip and Smartive.

The event will also count with the presence of Dr. Po Wen Cheng, a specialist in wind energy, more specifically in multibody simulation for onshore, offshore and floating wind turbines, remote sensing, LiDAR assisted control, load; monitoring and load measurements; and system reliability and structural reliability of wind turbines. He will address the necessary improvements in the integration of wind energy.

Speakers

António Sá da Costa, president of APREN will also speak at this event, as well as Andreia Fernandes, Portugal Country Manager, that will present InnoEnergy to APREN’s associates.

About

The Portuguese Renewable Energy Association is a non-profit association, founded in October 1988, with the mission of coordination, representation and defense of the common interests of its members. APREN’s associates are companies holding permits to explore power plants for electricity production from renewable sources, such as the ones under feed-in tariff as well as the ones that sell to the market, moreover any individual or collective person interested in the development of renewable energy sources in Portugal. At the end of 2016, APREN represented around 93% of all installed capacity of renewable energy sources in Portugal.
