To reinforce its marketing & communication activities, EIT InnoEnergy France are looking for a
Marketing and Communications Manager
Key Responsibilities
The position will report to the CEO of France and to the European Marketing and Communications Director to:
Define and implement Marketing & Communication plans for the French region, our brand, products and services and our supported innovations as follows:
Promotion of EIT InnoEnergy France: Produce annual marketing & communications plan to help the business and visibility objectives of the region. Update collateral such as the website with regional news, support the corporate newsletter publications with content, disseminate market related trend data and other relevant market information to the regional team. Support the CEO of France (and the whole team) in the organisation of regional events and the promotion of planned corporate events. Define with the Central Press Agency a plan to reinforce visibility of EIT InnoEnergy via press communication.
Asset investment and management: Work with the Investment and Asset Managers to attract high quality start-ups and support the process of promoting our assets. This would involve showcasing supported assets at regional events and promoting these via channels such as PR, advertising, social media and digital channels.
Education: Work with the Education manager to support the development and the reputation of our European Battery Academy, and other professional learnings on hydrogen and innovation. Coordinate and implement regional recruitment campaigns of the Master School in collaboration with the Education Marketing Manager.
Internal Events: prepare internal events (company day in France) and contribute to corporate big events (Corporate Day staff event)
Identify and establish relationships with local target groups such as industry, SME’s, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students.
Manage relations with local marketing related suppliers if not managed centrally.
Manage the marketing & communication database related contacts such as journalists, and key influencers such as target groups.
Help the CEO build rapport with regional media and associated journalists to support pan European and regional PR and thought leadership strategies.
Ensure wide and coherent deployment of InnoEnergy corporate brand identity within the French region.
At EIT InnoEnergy European Level, support the Marketing & Communication Director:
Implement the EIT InnoEnergy brand guidelines and compliance to established brand norms.
Support in the deployment of business lines strategies and initiatives with partners and any third-party alliances.
Support the production of Europewide marketing collateral ensuring a “one-company” approach.
Where relevant, support the “localisation” of marketing material ensuring the needs of audiences in France are met.
Contribute content to Europewide production of newsletters, annual reviews, website, social media, and other relevant publications.
Contribute to the preparation of our flagship event “the business booster”, find sponsors, ensure the coming of attendees.
Experience & Skills
5+ years relevant working experience in a marketing and communications role within the B2B sector.
Degree qualified. Master or Postgraduate in Marketing and Communications or a Marketing Diploma.
Experience in the energy sector or technology or start-up/innovation related environments is desirable.
Fluency in French and English both written and spoken is a must. Any other European languages highly advantageous.
Comfortable in performing in a changing environment of a dynamic and fast-growing matrix organisation.
A keen interest and hunger to understand of all activities related the European Energy transition (the Green Deal, Fit for 55), the French energy country plans and Europe’s industrial strategy.
Interested in contributing with creativity, thinking “out of the box” and hard work execution ethic to support the implementation of the marketing and communication plans in France.
Managing budgets, reporting and procurement processes.
Willingness to develop a close team working relationship based on an open, honest and transparent communication.
Willingness to travel across Europe for quarterly European Marketing meetings and online weekly conferences.

Dependencies
The Marketing and Communications Manager reports to the CEO of France and the Marketing and Communication Director of EIT InnoEnergy.
Contributes proactively with the regional team (sales, finance, legal, etc.) to meet its business objectives.
Good working relationship with the other regional Marketing and Communications and business line team members across Europe.
Manages and works with regional marketing related suppliers.
