We are looking for an energetic and strong Financial Controller who wants to join EIT InnoEnergy in their exciting, challenging journey to become the leading engine for innovation and entrepreneurship in sustainable energy.
EIT InnoEnergy will offer you a thriving environment with a very diverse set of Finance Areas to focus your attention on. As the Financial Controller you will report to the Group Financial Controller, manage the junior Financial Controller and liaise with other finance colleagues in our 6 regional offices.
Because of the high growth of the Company, there is a strong focus of this role on improvements and making the finance department more professional.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of HQ finance operations (P2P, O2C, Treasury, Fixed assets etc)
Coach and manage a junior financial controller
Coordinate and cooperate with subsidiary controllers to ensure accurate and complete monthly reporting
Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual close and reporting cycles, including preparation of financial statements
Ensure tax compliance including VAT, CIT and employee-related taxes
Liaise with external auditors and provide support for the annual statutory audit and other audits (EIT, Tax, Payroll etc)
Prepare EU-Grant and EIT reporting
Setup and maintenance of financial budgets, controls and reporting including our EU-Grants
Providing support to Group Controller and CFO with various tasks and reports, as required
Drive ongoing improvement of finance systems, tools and procedures, including liaising with SSC and EIT InnoEnergy Management Unit counterparts for implementation; and
Support and lead change management processes
The Person We Are Looking For
You are an ambitious, eager, and talented finance professional with a solid technical accounting background and stakeholder management. You enjoy an international and diverse setting and drive continuous improvement. You can create structure where needed and have a pragmatic & hands-on attitude. You have a stable, strong presence, and are able to challenge, coach & train colleagues and argument your case on different levels.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelors or Master Degree in Finance & Accounting, minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. (experience in a big audit company is a pre)
Experience in budgeting, controlling, management and financial reporting
Strong Microsoft / Excel Skills
Hands on mentality, perform under pressure
High attention to detail
Strong and confident communicator
