EIT InnoEnergy
EIT InnoEnergy is the number one innovation engine for sustainable energy across Europe supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
Creating energy that is sustainable in every sense.
For us, true sustainability also means an industry that is commercially viable, endlessly innovative, and highly competitive. We make this possible by supporting the market adoption of pioneering new innovations, without risk or complexity. From mobility to construction - from renewable energy sources to smarter storage - our commercially attractive innovations are nurtured in EIT InnoEnergy's trusted ecosystem. Since when we were founded in 2010, we have judged over 4500 investment proposals, invested in nearly 450 assets, which have a forecasted revenue of €16 billion. In addition, 1,400 alumni have graduated from our Master and PhD School programmes, many of whom work for prestigious companies such as Tesla, Siemens, Total and own investments like Northvolt. We also bring together 500+ key players from across the energy value chain, from 18 different countries, who have indirect access to 150 million energy consumers. The activities of EIT InnoEnergy are managed through our regional offices located in Benelux, Central Europe, France, Germany, Iberia and Scandinavia.
The Benelux team is led by a CEO and has the following functional areas: Business Creation (investments in start-ups), Innovation (investments in innovation projects in the thematic field of Smart Buildings and Cities), European Green Hydrogen Acceleration Center (EGHAC; investments in green hydrogen value chains), Business Development (sales support for our assets), Marketing, and Finance. EIT InnoEnergy operates through a matrix structure.
