The Role
The Business Developer Biogas should be able to generate short-term revenues, within the full range of the bioenergy market sector (both from scratch and from deals / prospects already in the pipeline). The new hire will contribute to and run the strategy for the French market (in connection with a European team of +250 people in more than 7 countries). The product and services that need commercial boost are the current EIT InnoEnergy portfolio of bioenergy solutions: biomass, biogas, and related software. Market: EPCs, biomass, biogas, district heating, water treatment.
He / she must be an experienced person with a relevant track record, able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and key partners.
Requirements
Preferably an engineering background coupled with a business degree.
At least 5-7 years in sales from either EPCs, biomass, biogas, district heating, water treatment area.
Proven successful track record in sales, market planning/analysis and opportunity identification.
Personal connections due to his/her background in the following sectors: EPCs, biomass, biogas, district heating, water treatment to facilitate access to decision makers and project leaders.
Strong ability to generate and close leads with an ambitious annual target.
Competent and business oriented leader with 7 years of relevant experience in business development, management, or consulting.
Excellent Bioenergy and Energy ecosystem culture & deep understanding of the marketplace business models.
Be able to drive projects, tackle complex situations, always use data, coordinates teams.
Clear communicator, fluency (written & verbal) both in French and English.

This role is at the center stage of InnoEnergy’s transition to a growth platform for bioenergy solutions in Europe.
The whole team involves 3 persons in a full-time position: 2 business developers and 1 Project Manager. The team is based both in Grenoble and Paris and is used to work closely.
