We are seeking for a high-level profile candidate with strong industry Learning and Development background as part of the leadership team for the new EBA Battery Academy. The EBA Academy will be a public-private initiative to support the transformation of the European industry towards an electrified and green future, funded by the EU. The EBA Battery Academy will provide training and skills solutions for the whole battery value chain as new and strong strategic industrial pillar erecting across Europe.
The goal is to set up and run a pan-European training and skills platform – With strong focus on distance learning tools and E-Learning – embedded in the European Battery Alliance network and all its industry partners.
The role of the battery training and skills specialist will serve as the central business intelligence and skills strategy hub related to all battery skill and training topics. The position holder will establish and collaborate actively with a wide network of experts, industry representatives and future enthusiasts in the branch, to foresee the future skills and training landscape of the branch in Europe, and to break it down in a concrete content and training strategy for the EBA Battery Academy. The position holder will constantly monitor and analyse different success factors of L&D strategies and training formats related to the electrification of industry. Including – of course – technological and business skill development, as well as pedagogical and methodological influencers to successfully set up a highly relevant and efficient Education Instrument.
The successful candidate will work as part of a central leadership team to deliver industry leading online and blended training products in collaboration with external training providers. The successful candidate will be able to understand the world of public funding as well as to serve in a commercially driven environment.
Be part of the strategic leadership team with a strong knowledge of industry L&D environments
Experience in setting up training and skills strategies on a larger scale
Enlarge and entertain a Top-Level network of experts and though leaders in the field of battery and electrification skills, both from industry and academics
Execute methodologies to build up skills frameworks, like trend radars or similar to set up an Top-Level education strategy
Build up skills and training strategies using those methodologies with a strong sense for business, demand and commercialisation
Leading the development of curricula and training schemes to succeed the skills and training strategies
Clear and structured information management to all relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with external partners in an unique Pan-European ecosystem
Required Skills and Experience
At least 10 years experience within the L&D department of an international Industry company, ideally within the Automotive industry, or within the environment of a larger training or education provider
Strong conceptual and strategic background in the set-up of education, training and skills strategies with broader scope and a large amount of learners
4 to 6 years’ experience leading own projects implementing skills strategies into corporate or public environments
Conceptual and operational knowledge of a broad range of Training instruments, with a strong focus on E-learning solutions and distance learning tools
Ideally first knowledge of education platforms also from a business management perspective
Ideally experience with methodologies for skills frameworking or trend radaring
Master’s degree or equivalent experience, PHD would be a plus
Strong strategist with analytical mindset and the right feeling for business opportunities
Thorough understanding of curriculum development, instructional design, and training methodologies.
Start-Up and hands-on Mindset, with a strong will to build up things from scratch with a solid financial project background
