Last week, Energy from Chemical Fuels 2015 brought together stakeholders from industry, research & development, politics and consultancy in the energy, chemical industry and utility sectors. It focused on collaborative approaches and ideas for addressing some of the EU’s greatest sustainable energy challenges, and aimed at covering all aspects of chemical fuels, from technology to regulation. Up to 80 leading experts met in talks, dialogues and keynote speeches to identify current developments, trends and opportunities for advancing energy from chemical fuels.
As a result, participants agreed on three areas of action for each of the following key topics of the conference:
- Power to gas/liquids
- Alternative waste utilization
- Future challenges and opportunities for a decentralized bio-energy system
- Conversion of biomass to gas/liquids
In addition, a marketplace showcased some of the most interesting European innovation projects and ventures supported by KIC InnoEnergy.
