Seminar KIC InnoEnergy SE in Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre (ITTC) at the Silesian University of Technology

On December 8th, 2011, in the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre (ITTC) at the Silesian University of Technology held organized a seminar entitled: “European Technology Incubator – your partner in the construction and development of innovative entrepreneurship in the area of sustainable energy.”

The seminar was the first effect agreement concluded 25th October 2011 under which the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre (ITTC) at the Silesian University of Technology became a partner in the Regional Node Knowledge and Innovation Community InnoEnergy European Institute of Technology – SE InnoEnergy KIC in all offered cooperation opportunities, initiatives to create entrepreneurship according to KIC’s business model and professional advisory at the initial stage for interested entrepreneurs and initiators.

The theme of the event was a new initiative to establish a European Technology Incubator. There were also presented attractive possibilities to support innovation and entrepreneurship particularly in relation to the sector of renewable energy and clean coal technologies.

Participants were welcomed by Mr. Arkadiusz Szmal – Director of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre (ITTC) at the SilesianUniversity of Technology who also officially began the seminar.

The first speaker was Mr. Thomas Pyrć – Member of the Board CC Plus Poland and Director of Technology Transfer Centre at AGH, who presented a theme:“Your path to your own business – KIC InnoEnergy HIGHWAY TM, the European Technology Incubator”. Presentation focused on business creation in the context of CC Plus Poland.

Next speaker was Mr. John Kosmol – President of Science and Technology Park “Technopark Gliwice” who drew Park’s activity profile.

Mr. Rafal Mrówka – President CC Plus Poland Ltd spoke about an idea of the Community Knowledge and Innovation InnoEnergy KIC European Institute of Technology. The meeting was ended with presentation titled “Your door-to-own business” – Mr. Arkadiusz Szmal presented the possibilities of support offered by the ITTC.
