KIC InnoEnergy, the innovation engine for sustainable energy across Europe, marked the opening of its new interactive co-working space in Berlin this Wednesday.
The new space will have up to eight hot desks available for sustainable energy innovators, which will support the commercialisation of new breakthroughs in the space.
“The opening puts us on the doorstep of some of Europe’s brightest minds in clean and renewable energies,” says Christian Müller, CEO of KIC InnoEnergy in Germany. “The space will be a dynamic, innovative working environment for those in the industry looking to develop the next big thing.”
The event was an opportunity for KIC InnoEnergy’s management team, Berlin start-ups and partners to network and celebrate the inauguration of the space.
Attendees were welcomed to the event by Mr Müller and Dirk Bessau, Leader of KIC InnoEnergy’s Berlin office.
The evening’s agenda consisted of three presentations and a panel discussion on “Digitalisation of the energy industry – will blockchains be the booster?” Panelists included Kirsten Hasberg, Blockchain Hub Berlin, Karl-Heinz Remmers, Forum Solarpraxis and Kenneth Johansson, KIC InnoEnergy.
The new space is located at EUREF-Campus 7, 10829 Berlin.
