Following a detailed scouting, some 35 European sustainability tech companies were invited to Copenhagen in September to meet with Chinese investors and potential partners and to participate in the EU-China Cleantech Competition. This resulted in five companies being selected as finalists and to participate in the CleanConnect 2018 summit in Nanjing. Meva Energy was one of those companies.
Meva Energy, an innovation project supported by InnoEnergy, have just won the prestigious CleanConnect 2018 award.
After the final presentations and evaluations, the jury selected Meva Energy as first prize winner and awarded them with 10.000 €
Meva Energy have created small, circular energy systems with a minimum of distribution and parasitic losses,. Thus, their solution enables power and heat production in the range below the commercial feasibility of steam turbine technology. Dr Rong Xu, CEO of Umore and head of the organizing committe of CleanConnect adds: “Meva Energy´s innovative biomass gasification technology faces a strong market interest in China. There is a substantial need for circular conversion technologies both in order to reduce and valorize waste streams and in order to produce renewable energy. Further, Meva Energy´s approach of producing low-calorific biogas instead of pure biomethane or SNG is a very relevant business model to cut production costs of renewable energy.”
