Dozens of engineering students approached InnoEnergy and registered, looking forward to knowing more about its master’s offer, their main themes and what are the admission criteria for applying. Some of the students have been attending InnoEnergy’s Open Day since their first year of university and will finally be able to apply to the Masters.
The event had the indispensable support of current students of InnoEnergy in one of the four master programmes taught at IST. These students acted as “ambassadors”, sharing their insights and helping clarify doubts about logistics, subjects studied, international mobility plan, career opportunities, scholarships, amongst others.
This year, FST Novabase and BEST (Board of European Students of Technology), two student associations sponsored by InnoEnergy, were present at the event to give them the opportunity to raise more students for their activities and groups.
There are 85 InnoEnergy students in IST, with approximately 500 attending the seven masters’ programmes taught in several universities spread in Europe.
For Marta Abrantes, Project Manager of InnoEnergy in IST, the success of the master’s programmes is the fact that “besides having a technical and scientific side, InnoEnergy’s masters also have a business component, taught in some of the best business schools in Europe, such as ESADE Business School or Grenoble École de Management, which gives the students the possibility of gaining knowledge in the entrepreneurship area. The partner’s network also gives students the opportunity to work closely with the industry, startups and innovation projects in sustainable energy through master thesis or internships”.
