Atos and Siemens, in partnership with the CEA, announced the winners of the Digital Industry Award, the disruptive start-up competition aimed at digitalising and revolutionising the industry, construction and energy sectors.
Following the announcement of the start-up competition in May, a total of 78 projects have been submitted and four were selected as overall winners. The award ceremony took place on October, 17 at the Palais Brongniart in Paris as part of the Digital Industry Summit, where the winners were divided into the following categories: Smart Energy, Smart Building, Smart Product and Smart Plant.
The jury, presided over by Claudie Haigneré (France’s first woman astronaut, ex-minister and ESA’s CEO advisor) was made up of experts from Atos, Siemens, and the CEA, as well as several corporate directors from Total, ENEDIS and Bpifrance amongst others. Total and the CEA are two of InnoEnergy’s shareholders.
Energiency has been awarded in the smart energy category, and won the following prize:
- A 5000 euro prize as well as the opportunity to develop their project with the CEA
- The development of a partnership with Atos and/or Siemens
- Incubation at the Siemens ‘MindSphere Center’
- Project showcased at the Atos Business Technology & Innovation Centers (BTICs)
