Eirik Eide Pettersen

European Master’s in Nuclear Energy alumnus Eirik Eide Pettersen, has been continually accomplishing overarching goals as a co-founder of Seaborg Technologies, a start-up developing thorium-based Molten Salt Reactors (MSRs). Seaborg’s new approach of re-examining nuclear as a solution could be the key to overcome the pollution problems and alleviate global warming. A winner of several awards and recently listed in the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30, Eirik encourages current students “Don’t fret too much about it. Do something that you are passionate about, try to make the world a better place, and then keep on trucking“.

Kiran Raj

After graduating from EIT InnoEnergy MSc Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems , Kiran has successfully completed a challenging ASML recruitment process in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. His drive comes from continually striving to implement a shift in today’s energy market, that affects meteorically most of the global challenges. Despite being far from his hometown, Chennai in India, Kiran explains that he is now also part of the family of like-minded friends and colleagues away from home.

Simone Accornero

Encouraged to develop and challenge entrepreneurial skills and mindset during his Master’s in Energy for Smart Cities, Simone Accornero is now Co-founder & CEO of FlexiDAO, a cleantech startup based in Barcelona. Trying to lead a sustainable lifestyle, Simone believes that with FlexiDAO consumers will also be encouraged to choose the kind of energy they want! However, Simone confesses that the greatest contribution to his journey was meeting his fellow Co-founder, Grzegorz Bytniewski, through EIT InnoEnergy network.
