2. Prepare the required documents

It is not possible to save your application form, so please prepare the following documents as separate pdfs before you begin.

Please only upload files in pdf format.

In the case of your degree certificate and transcript of records, we require an assembled pdf with a copy of the certificate in its original language and a version translated into English by a licensed translator. If your original degree certificate and/or transcript are in English, no translation is needed.

Your Bachelor’s degree

  • If you have not yet graduated, you will need to upload one of the following documents:
    • A written statement from your university’s administration office (or equivalent department), confirming that you are enrolled in the final year of your study programme and stating your expected completion date.
    • A statement with your expected completion date and an enrolment certificate with the number of your current semester.
  • If you hold a Bachelor’s degree, you will need to upload a copy of your degree certificate.
  • If you have already completed a Master’s degree, please upload a copy of your Bachelor’s degree and a copy of your Master’s degree.

Your transcript of records

The document should include all the courses you have taken. We need a copy in the original language and a version translated into English by a licensed translator. If your original degree certificate and/or transcript are in English, no translation is needed.

If your university issues transcript of records with the overall grade, please upload it with it.

Proof of English proficiency

You will need to arrange ONE of the following:

  • IELTS Academic test.
You will need to upload your IELTS certificate in the form of your test report form with your online application to the InnoEnergy programme(s) of your choice. If your IELTS certificate is not available at the time you make your online application, continue with the application and make a note of the application number you receive once your application is submitted. When you receive your certificate, you may email a copy, along with your application number, to the InnoEnergy Admissions Office at admissionsoffice@innoenergy.com.

    • We cannot accept a screenshot of your results.
    • Certificates can be validated by the TRF number given on the score report. No additional action or information required.
  • University of Cambridge/University of Oxford Certificates (CPE/CAE certificates).
    You will need to
upload your certificate with your online application to the InnoEnergy programme(s) of your choice. If your CPE or CAE certificate is not available at the time you make your online application, continue with the application and make a note of the application number you receive once your application is submitted. When you receive your certificate, you may email a copy, along with your application number, to the InnoEnergy Admissions Office at admissionsoffice@innoenergy.com.

    • Whether you include your certificate in your online application, or send it to the InnoEnergy Admissions Office once you receive it, you will also need to provide your Candidate ID (3 letters and 6 numbers) and Secret number (4 digits). You should have received these numbers from the CPE or CAE authorities (usually on page 3 of your score report). If you do not have a Candidate ID or secret number contact your testing authority.
  • TOEFL internet-based test.
You will need to upload your TOEFL ETS score report with your online application. If you do not have your score report at the time you make your online application, continue with the application and make a note of the application number you receive once your application is submitted. When you receive your score report, you may email a copy, along with your application number, to the InnoEnergy Admissions Office at admissionsoffice@innoenergy.com.

    • You will also need to order a score report from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) system to be sent directly to the InnoEnergy Admissions Office.  To do this, follow the instructions on the ETS website, using the institution code 0683 for Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). This code should be used for all InnoEnergy Master’s School programmes, even if your chosen programme takes place at another university. When you visit the ETS website, select KIT and then choose the option either ‘Graduate schools’ or ‘any department not listed’. The ETS score report will be sent to the InnoEnergy Admissions Office directly. We will verify the scores online. Only after your order of the score report for KIT will we be able to access your score report data online. Without your order from ETS, we are not able to verify your result and cannot consider it.
    • Please note that it can take several weeks for your test scores to arrive and be available from ETS.

If your IELTS or CPE/CAE certificate is more than two years old, but you can show proof that you have maintained your English proficiency, please upload your proof together with your IELTS or CPE/CAE certificates. We will accept the following:

  • Proof of one semester’s study in English
  • Proof of work or internship in an English environment
  • Proof of an additional English exam

If you have not yet taken an English test:

  • Please indicate the expected test date in your application form and send the necessary proof before the deadline to the InnoEnergy Admissions Office at admissionsoffice@innoenergy.com.
